Job description

Duties: Perform software engineering duties in furtherance of research and development efforts for NXP’s in-house IC and microprocessor products. Draw concepts from wireless communication theory to devise and construct suitable experiments to test performance and identify system deficiencies with respect to physical layer metrics like transmit EVM, spectrum mask, packet error rate, interference rejection, etc. Support the evaluation and debug effort via various cycles of quality assurance all the way through production. Evaluate results, identify root-cause deficiencies, and develop improvements to design. Responsible for developing automation tools and/or software to automate performance evaluation, data extraction, and analysis. Collaborate with digital design team to support PHY layer algorithm design and bit-true verification.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, foreign equivalent or related field., Position requires knowledge gained via completion of a graduate-level course, internship or related occupation involving:

  1. Signal Processing,

  2. Wireless Communication,

  3. C/C++ and Python,

  4. RFSOC,

  5. Matlab,

  6. Digital Communication,

  7. Communication Systems and Networks,

  8. Artificial Neural Computation, and

  9. Machine learning with FPGA implementation.

Benefits & conditions

Salary: $156853 per year.

The base salary range for this position is as mentioned below per year. We also provide competitive benefits, incentive compensation, and/or equity for certain roles. Company benefits include health. dental, and vision insurance. 401(k), and paid leave. Please note that the base salary range (OR hourly rate) is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on a number of factors such as qualifications, skill level, work location, and other business and organizational needs. This base pay range is specific to California and is not applicable to other locations. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range as of the date of this posting is: $196,800 to $270,600 annually
