Data Architect, Lead

Experteer Overview As a Data Architect Lead on Booz Allen’s Army Data Engineering team, you will design and govern data architecture solutions that integrate diverse Army intelligence sources. You’ll guide the cloud-based data landscape, address complex data issues with analysts and tech teams, and drive best practices for data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and analytics. You’ll serve as a liaison between clients and developers to ensure requirements are met and solutions are delivered, enabling secure DoD data management. Compensation / Benefits * Design data architecture solutions for integrating data pipelines from Army intelligence sources * Resolve complex data architecture issues with business analysts and technology teams * Analyze data models and tools to provide a comprehensive view of available intelligence * Lead the design, development, and testing of cloud solution components * Serve as liaison between clients and developers to ensure requirements are met * Establish processes and promote technological innovation in data management Tasks * 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or analytics engineering * 8+ years of experience with SQL and relational databases, including data modeling and query optimization * Experience with Python data frameworks for processing and automation * Experience designing and governing data architectures in AWS-based environments * Experience with data governance practices, metadata management, data cataloging, lineage and access policies * Experience with ETL/ELT and modern data pipeline architectures * Experience with project management and delivering technical engagements against a charter * TS/SCI clearance * Bachelor’s degree in a Data or IT field * Ability to obtain DoD 8570 or 8140 IAT Level II Certification within 30 days of hire Key requirements * health, life, disability, and retirement benefits * paid leave * tuition assistance * professional development * work-life programs * recognition awards
