Job description

IPG Photonics is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Systems Administrator to join its expanding IT team. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and securing global infrastructure in a dynamic, high-tech manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is analytical, self-driven, and capable of supporting business systems and services that meet organizational goals and service-level agreements (SLAs)., + Administer and support infrastructure services, including Microsoft Active Directory, Citrix, Microsoft Exchange, Nutanix, VMware, Veeam Backup, Manage Engine, MDM platforms, and Box.

  • Design, implement, and manage Microsoft 365 services, Microsoft Purview, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, and Azure AD.
  • Manage identity and access solutions, including Single Sign-On (SSO) and Microsoft Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 tenant migrations, including tenant-to-tenant and Google Workspace (G Suite) to Microsoft 365 migrations.
  • Administer AWS environments, including licensing, platform deployment, and connectivity.
  • Maintain tenant security controls and spam-filtering systems.
  • Monitor infrastructure and business applications to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Ensure infrastructure systems meet security, compliance, and data integrity standards.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Manage assigned projects, provide weekly status updates, and identify risks before they impact timelines.
  • Create and maintain system configuration and troubleshooting documentation.
  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support.
  • Lead vulnerability remediation efforts and system patching cycles.
  • Manage, triage, and resolve IT support tickets while meeting SLA targets.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain infrastructure hardware and systems.
  • Participate in outage and incident response bridge calls as needed.
  • Knowledge of Hello systems or visitation software is helpful.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Power Platform, Microsoft 365 Groups, and Microsoft 365 reporting.
  • Solid understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, Windows and Linux operating systems, Veeam, Exchange, Nutanix, VMware, and monitoring tools.
  • Experience with SolidWorks PDM, SCCM, PKI, and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of SSO and Microsoft MFA technologies.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting.
  • Troubleshooting network configuration, installation, and maintenance.
  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions activities.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL, ITAR best practices, and ITSM tools. Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and customer-service skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Management of License Servers (RDS, Zemax, SolidWorks, FlexLM, LMTools).
  • Troubleshooting VPN. WIFI and wired network connections. Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • ITAR, ITIL, Microsoft, and cloud certifications are highly desirable.
