Job description

Experteer Overview As a Senior Lead, Data Engineering, you will shape enterprise data solutions and drive scalable data platforms for global procurement analytics. You will lead architecture, modernization, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-impact data products. You’ll mentor engineers and elevate data engineering practices while integrating AI-enhanced approaches to improve data quality and productivity. This role offers the opportunity to influence strategy and work on complex, impactful problems within a global, data-driven organization. Compensation / Benefits * Lead architecture, development, and modernization of scalable enterprise data platforms for procurement analytics * Define and execute a multi-year data engineering strategy focused on scalability, reliability, automation, and maintainability * Design, build, and optimize Azure-based data solutions using Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation * Integrate data from multiple ERP systems and harmonize master data into common models * Collaborate with analysts, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate needs into reusable data products * Establish engineering standards, conduct architecture reviews, improve documentation, and mentor engineers * Explore AI-enabled approaches to accelerate development, automate documentation, and enhance productivity * Evaluate tools and platform investments to improve performance, security, governance, and operational efficiency * Support development of internal data products, APIs, and user-facing applications for procurement insights * Present technical recommendations and roadmaps to both technical and non-technical audiences including leadership Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field * 6+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, software engineering, or enterprise data platform development * Proven experience building and modernizing cloud-based data platforms in an enterprise * Hands-on experience with Azure-based data engineering tech (Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, CI/CD) * Strong SQL and Python, with Spark or similar distributed processing * Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses or Lakehouse architectures, and optimized analytics * Experience integrating data from multiple ERP systems and harmonizing master, supplier, purchasing data into common models * Experience with API integrations, REST, authentication, security, data governance, and production support * Ability to establish engineering standards, conduct architecture reviews, mentor, and influence technical direction * Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, maintainable engineering solutions Key requirements * remote work
