Cloud Network Engineer

Experteer Overview As a Cloud Network Engineer at Schwab, you help enable scalable, secure cloud solutions in a multi-cloud environment. You will work with cross-functional teams to design, test, and operate enterprise cloud networks that support mission-critical workloads. You’ll troubleshoot and implement cloud-based networking solutions while advancing automation and IaC practices. This role offers visibility into Schwab’s cloud strategy and a chance to impact how clients manage their money through resilient technology. Compensation / Benefits * Collaborate with cloud network, security, data center, and development teams to provide and maintain cloud solutions * Test, validate, troubleshoot, and implement cloud-based networking solutions in an enterprise environment * Ensure high availability and reliability of the technology stack for 24x7 mission-critical systems * Leverage IaC and automation tools for provisioning and operations * Participate in cloud infrastructure design supporting multi-cloud migration * Utilize log aggregation and monitoring tools to diagnose issues and optimize performance * Engage in DevOps and SCM toolchains to streamline deployment and operations * Support customers and internal/external stakeholders with cloud networking needs * Work within regulatory and security requirements to meet Schwab standards * Maintain awareness of cloud networking technologies (Load Balancing, VPC, VPN, Firewalls, etc.) Tasks * Minimum 3 years of experience in networking and system administration * Minimum 1 year of cloud support experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP * Experience with cloud networking technologies (Load Balancing, Service Mesh, NAT, DNS, VPC, VPN, Dedicated Connections, Routers, Firewalls) * Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, Salt or similar IaC tools * Familiarity with SCM and DevOps toolchains (Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins, Concourse) * Experience ensuring high availability and service of the technology stack * Troubleshooting experience in cloud and hybrid cloud deployments * Experience with 24x7 mission-critical systems * Experience with log aggregators (Splunk/CloudWatch) * Proficiency with network diagnostic tools Key requirements *
