- Test, verify, and reproduce infotainment system issues, including audio defects, CarPlay functionality failures, connectivity problems, projection issues, and system performance concerns on Vehicle Cockpit Infotainment System Software.
- Collect and analyze logs using NeoVI Fire2 (Vehicle Spy), gmlogger, SOC/VIP logs (via Tera Term), and USB/OTA logs to support defect isolation and root-cause analysis.
- Reproduce, validate, and troubleshoot OTA and USB software update issues across CSM/VCU modules; download builds from Artifactory, flash software images, configure test environments, and verify successful update behavior.
- Conduct release validation on vehicles and bench setups to identify software bugs across audio, connectivity, projection, and system-level features.
- Execute unit tests, sanity tests, regression tests, system tests, and performance tests to ensure software quality and stability; document results in Jira and coordinate follow-up testing with developers.
- Perform automated testing, including FIO testing, USB update automation, Monkey testing, and performance testing to improve test coverage and efficiency; develop or execute automated scripts to support repeatable validation workflows.
- Work closely with developers to collect detailed logs, reproduce complex issues, assist in debugging, and verify software fixes; perform QA+1 reviews in Gerrit/GitHub after verification.
- Document test procedures, test results, and issue reproduction steps in Jira and internal systems; share testing knowledge with colleagues and support team members in daily tasks and troubleshooting.
- Support urgent validation tasks, including after-hours testing, OTA/USB update verification, FIO testing, and plant support activities; assist with time-critical testing during release cycles or production events.
- Collaborate with internal development teams, QA teams, and external partners to resolve issues efficiently and ensure high-quality software releases; participate in design discussions, technical reviews, and requirement clarifications.
- Review and create system/functionality specifications based on customer and end users’ requirements; create test plans and cases according to the project schedule and software functional requirements.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of test processes and methodologies; define infotainment test and automation strategy and develop effective test execution plans aligned to vehicle program milestones.
Requirements
- Infotainment and vehicle systems knowledge, including audio systems, CarPlay, connectivity, projection features, OTA, and USB update mechanisms.
- Solid knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies and tools, including unit, sanity, regression, system, and release validation testing.
- Software development, test automation framework, tool development, and scripting.
- Programming skills in Java, C++, and Python.
- Knowledge of CAN communication and diagnostic tools, including NeoVI Fire2 (Vehicle Spy).
- Knowledge of SW configuration tools, including Tera Term, Gerrit, GitHub, Jira, OpenGrok, and Artifactory.
