Job description

We are looking for a versatile and talented Sr. Java/AEM Developer to join a development team. This role will supply deep technical expertise in all aspects of design and development of user experience on the external-facing enterprise websites and support other properties (e.g., marketing automation, internal collaboration sites, social media, offline) as needed. They will focus on developing technically robust solutions within an enterprise content management system that address business needs and factor in existing architecture and technology constraints and parameters. This creative/technical hybrid role will work directly with key business stakeholders, digital strategists, marketers, content strategists, and other designers to capture business and technical requirements, design creative mocks, and develop functional prototypes. The Sr. Java/AEM Developer will integrate into our overall production workflow and create/develop highly engaging design solutions. Candidates should be looking to push design boundaries and develop creative and innovative solutions using creative and technical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Use website metrics and testing to evaluate the effectiveness and performance of designs, surface insights, and make data-driven design decisions.
  • Develop and deliver Web experiences on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
  • Participate in the full Systems development lifecycle including meetings, iterative development, estimations, and design sessions.
  • Develop complex AEM Components and Templates in AEM 6.x with Touch UI using Sightly/HTL and modern front-end frameworks including Bootstrap, Less, Sass, Angular, React.js, JavaScript, Backbone.js, Granite, and Coral UI Foundation Framework based on business requirements.
  • Conduct code reviews for ongoing projects to ensure that code quality is at the highest level possible and appropriate design patterns are being used.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Multimedia Design, or Graphic Design with certification or relevant coursework in UX/UI Design or Graphic Design; or related equivalent experience.
  • Certification in Agile development methodologies.
  • 7 years of Java and J2EE/JEE software development experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working on Enterprise Content Management Systems.
  • 2+ years of experience implementing AEM solutions (Templates and Components) and configuring the Web Console.
  • Experience working with key Adobe CQ/AEM APIs and functionality (Sites, Apps, Assets, Forms, Commerce, etc.) including building and testing Adobe CQ/AEM Components.
  • Experience working with Web technologies including CSS, HTML, XML and AJAX/JavaScript.
  • Experience working with one or more Java tools including JSP, Spring, Sling, JMS, JUnit, AOP, MVC, and IntelliJ/Eclipse.
  • Experience developing Web services and integrating applications with third-party frameworks.
  • Experience using CVS, SVN, and Git source code control systems.
  • Experience developing and deploying applications on AWS or Private Cloud.
  • Experience in full-stack software development.
  • Solid understanding of modern software delivery processes, tools, and frameworks with certification or experience working with an Agile methodology and iterative development.
  • Ability to provide hands-on, expert-level technical assistance to developers.
  • Experience with unit testing, static analysis, and build automation, as well as continuous integration and build and source management.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Demonstrated individual contributor and self-starter with willingness to take end-to-end ownership of deliverables while maintaining the highest level of quality.
  • Experience working with Marketing teams (e.g., Content, Marketing, Brand), Information Technology teams, vendors, and business partners in a collaborative environment.
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud, Analytics, Mobile Services, and LiveCycle.
  • Experience with RESTful Web Services, SOAP Web Services, and Amazon Web Services.
  • Solid understanding of marketing, communications, advertising, or related field.
