What do you do as a System Engineer?

As a System Engineer you are assigned to design, roll out and manage complex IT solutions with minimal impact on the business of our customers.

Your challenges

You develop the total architecture of systems and networks for our customers. This can range from migrations of environments, installations, to very powerful and impactful expansions, and more. This always happens in accordance with the needs of our customers, so that the change impact on the day-to-day business of our customers is minimal.

You identify which innovations lead to real added value in the performance of the IT environment of our customers. You use your experience to obtain insights, which you translate into scalable concepts to ‘upgrade’ the total added value that Cheops can offer its customers.

You are an expert in certain areas and ask for additional support from fellow engineers for areas where your own expertise is lacking. You manage the planning, budgets and other resources for the projects on which you are working and for which you have played a role in determining the scope. This within the considerations and constraints of budget/performance/scope/timing and always in consultation with project managers and/or other stakeholders.

Your talent

You plan with a view on minimising the impact on customers and anticipate potential challenges from the perspective of several possible solutions.

Must-haves:

• MCSA/MCSE certification and/or CCNP or equivalent experience
• Expertise in one or more areas: O365 - Azure - VMWare/HyperV - Citrix - Firewalling (Fortinet, Check Point, etc.) - Load balancing - Voice
• Prince2 or other project methodology
• Resistant to stress
• Flexible
• Strong communication skills
• Driving licence B
