Software Test Engineer

Experteer Overview As Software Test Engineer in Agilent’s software QC team, you will validate customer workflows across chromatography software and instrument integrations, ensuring accurate, intuitive results. You collaborate with R&D, product marketing, and application experts to shape testable requirements and craft manual and automated tests. You analyze results, drive defect resolution, and maintain traceability and quality documentation. You also apply AI tools to improve testing while ensuring compliance and robust validation. Pay / Benefits * Plan, develop, and execute manual and automated test campaigns for Liquid Chromatography workflows, CDS, and related apps * Design and maintain functional, system, integration, workflow, regression, and performance test cases with data, environments, and configurations * Collaborate with R&D, Product Marketing, and application experts to define requirements, workflows, acceptance criteria, and test strategies * Analyze test results and defects, perform root cause investigations, verify fixes, and drive issues to resolution * Ensure traceability across requirements, risks, test cases, results, and defects; maintain Product Lifecycle documentation * Leverage AI tools and automation frameworks to improve test effectiveness and productivity while meeting quality and validation standards Tasks * University degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience * Experience with software testing and development processes (manual testing, defect management, requirements-based verification, Agile) * Experience with or knowledge of liquid chromatography, CDS, laboratory workflows, or complex software-hardware systems * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with focus on usability and product quality * Fluent English and German, with ability to effectively use AI-assisted productivity or testing tools Key requirements *
