Software Requirements Analysis CATIA V6

Serve as the Design & Release Engineer (DRE) for automotive seating components.
Design automotive seating component parts using CATIA V6.
Develop, validate, and execute seating system requirements for passenger vehicles, including cars and SUVs.
Design, complete, and release seating components, sub-systems, and detailed parts such as:
Seat Back Frame
Cushion Frame
Foam
Trim
Plastic Components
Collaborate with seat component suppliers to support vehicle development milestones, prototype builds, and production launch activities.
Conduct feasibility studies and packaging analysis to ensure design compliance and manufacturability.
Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes to optimize product design and production.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of seating systems that meet quality, cost, and performance targets.
Possess a strong understanding of plastic and metal tooling, including design considerations for manufacturing.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and development of automotive seating components.
Hands-on experience with CATIA V6 for component and assembly design.
Strong knowledge of automotive seating systems and Design & Release (DRE) processes.
Experience with feasibility analysis, packaging studies, and manufacturing technologies.
In-depth understanding of plastic injection molding and metal stamping/tooling processes.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams.
