Application Programmer III

This position supports the Treasury and Strategic Forecasting Tech group, which is responsible for end-to-end technology solutions for the office of the Treasurer. The role involves maintaining and supporting .NET applications on Windows/IIS, including deployments, issue resolution, and coordination with infrastructure and development teams. The candidate will ensure the overall health of the supported applications and serve as an escalation point for production and platform issues., * Maintain and support .NET applications on Windows/IIS, including deployments and issue resolution.

• Work with DevOps tools such as BitBucket, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, Ansible Tower, and XL Release to enable CI/CD.
• Manage code migrations, ensuring source control policies are followed.
• Apply application maintenance releases, upgrades, and hot fixes as required.
• Manage UNIX access, directory setup, and required archival mechanisms.
• Coordinate with infrastructure support teams for outages and upgrades.
• Perform platform capacity planning and management.
• Design solutions to reduce the operational and management complexity of the platform.

Education: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) or equivalent degree.

Experience: 7-10 years of relevant experience is required.

Technical Skills:

• Strong experience with .NET application support on Windows/IIS.
• Proficient understanding of Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
• Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., BitBucket, Jenkins, JFrog, Ansible Tower).

Professional Skills:

• Strong analytical, communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills are mandatory.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with RedHat OpenShift is considered a plus.
