The position emphasizes secure, reliable, and performant systems, strong cloud integration with Azure, and the use of modern engineering practices including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and automated testing. The environment offers the opportunity to work in a growing, midsize, family-owned organization with a supportive leadership team and significant growth potential., * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business goals, end-user needs, and overall product direction.

  • Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to incremental delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Engage in technical discussions by explaining tradeoffs, asking clarifying questions, and aligning implementation details with intended outcomes.
  • Design, build, and maintain back-end services and APIs using the Microsoft .NET stack, including .NET, ASP.NET Core, and C#, with a strong focus on reliability, security, and performance.
  • Design relational database schemas and implement performant queries and data access patterns using SQL and relational database technologies.
  • Apply clean coding standards, secure coding practices, and common design principles such as SOLID in day-to-day development.
  • Build and maintain modern web UI components as needed using frameworks such as React, Vite, Next.js, or similar technologies.
  • Work effectively across back-end and front-end concerns, including authentication flows, API contracts, error handling, and user experience impacts, while keeping primary focus on back-end delivery.
  • Contribute to solution design using modern architectural patterns such as microservices, domain-driven design, event-driven systems, and RESTful service design under the guidance of senior technical leaders when needed.
  • Participate in design reviews to help ensure implementations are maintainable, scalable, and aligned with team standards.
  • Integrate applications with Identity and Access Management providers, particularly platforms such as Entra ID or Auth0.
  • Support integrations with enterprise systems including Learning Management Systems (LMS), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems, and Human Capital Management (HCM) systems.
  • Write and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to ensure correctness, reduce regression risk, and improve overall software quality.
  • Develop and evaluate proof-of-concepts to assess new tools, frameworks, and approaches when appropriate.
  • Build software with operational readiness in mind by incorporating observability, resilience, and secure-by-default practices.
  • Use Docker containers to simplify, standardize, and improve deployment processes.
  • Apply infrastructure-as-code patterns to provision and manage Azure resources such as App Services, Azure SQL Databases, Storage Accounts, Function Apps, and Key Vaults at a level appropriate to experience.
  • Use message brokers such as Azure Service Bus or RabbitMQ to support event-driven workflows where appropriate.
  • Apply effective Git branching strategies that are appropriate to each project.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, including setting up and maintaining quality gates such as linting, static analysis, and automated build and test stages.
  • Use modern AI tools responsibly to accelerate development tasks such as scaffolding, refactoring support, and test generation ideas while maintaining code quality and security.
  • Stay informed about developments in AI and related technologies that may improve engineering workflows and team productivity.

  • Clear written and oral communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Primary strength in back-end development with a working understanding of front-end and full-stack development.
  • Working knowledge of modern front-end web development frameworks such as React, Vite, Next.js, or similar.
  • Experience with Azure services such as App Services, Azure SQL Databases, Storage Accounts, Function Apps, and Key Vaults.
  • Experience with SQL, Azure, C#, and .NET technologies.
