Job description
Experteer Overview As a Privacy Engineer at Robinhood in New York, you will lead privacy reviews and design privacy-enhancing technologies to embed privacy-by-design across systems. You’ll work with Engineering, Product, Legal, and Compliance to scale privacy programs and champion AI-driven privacy operations. This role combines technical leadership with cross-functional collaboration to protect customer trust at scale. You’ll have a meaningful impact by shaping privacy practices in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment. Compensation / Benefits * Conduct detailed privacy architecture reviews to identify risks and ensure privacy-by-design across technical layers * Partner with Engineering, Product, Legal, and Compliance to implement privacy-by-design from inception to launch * Build and use AI agents and sub-agents to automate and scale privacy operations * Guide the selection and deployment of privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs) aligned with architecture and regulatory needs * Advise stakeholders and adapt practices to remain compliant with global privacy regulations and standards * Lead internal efforts to share best practices and raise privacy awareness across engineering teams Tasks * Bachelor or Master in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field * 2+ years of experience in data privacy, security, or privacy engineering with hands-on privacy architectures * Strong proficiency with AI and hands-on experience building/using agents * Experience managing both technical and operational processes in fast-paced environments * Familiarity with GLBA, GDPR, CCPA and applying them to technical systems * Experience with privacy-enhancing technologies and data anonymization * Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences Key requirements * challenging, high-impact work * performance-driven compensation with multipliers * equity ownership * 401(k) matching * 100% paid employee health insurance * wellness benefits (L&D, wellness wallet)
