Lead Software Engineer - Full Stack

Experteer Overview As a Lead Software Engineer - Full Stack, you will own end-to-end delivery of scalable, secure technology across frontend, backend, data/workflow, and database layers. You’ll work within the Enterprise Technology - Network Services Team to design and deploy cloud-native solutions on Kubernetes, drive observability, and ensure performance and reliability for large-scale applications. You’ll lead with hands-on coding, architecture decisions, and AI-assisted engineering practices to accelerate delivery. This role offers the chance to shape critical technology that supports the firm’s objectives. Compensation / Benefits * Own end-to-end full stack delivery across frontend (React/TypeScript), backend (Python services), data/workflow (Apache Airflow - DAG design) and database (CockroachDB) * Design and deliver scalable, highly available services and user experiences for large-scale applications * Build and maintain cloud-native deployments on Kubernetes with scalable configurations and deployment strategies * Drive monitoring, observability, and performance tuning using Splunk and Grafana; lead root-cause analysis * Lead adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed, while ensuring secure coding and automated testing * Apply SDLC tools and AI-assisted development capabilities to improve automation and value * Identify opportunities to automate remediation for better operational stability * Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams on architectural designs and applicability to existing systems Tasks * 5+ years of applied software engineering experience * Full stack capability with independent delivery across SDLC * Strong Python proficiency; experience building microservices and automation frameworks; production-grade React applications * Hands-on experience with Kubernetes deployments, API gateways, Kafka, and event-driven architectures * Experience with AI-assisted software development tools and ensuring correct, secure AI outputs * Knowledge of secure handling of data, resilience, and security expectations; coaching others on safe adoption * Experience with Apache Airflow, distributed SQL systems (CockroachDB) and data modeling * Observability and operations experience with Splunk and Grafana; CI/CD and automated testing; application security basics * Senior IC with technical leadership and ability to influence across teams Key requirements * health care coverage * on-site health and wellness centers * retirement savings plan * backup childcare * tuition reimbursement * mental health support
