Software Engineer

Experteer Overview You will develop mission-critical space system software and own features end-to-end, from design through deployment. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior engineers to deepen your technical expertise. The role challenges you with complex problems and the freedom to deliver impactful software that supports space missions. You’ll contribute to modern development practices and help grow junior engineers. This position combines hands-on coding with a meaningful, mission-driven context. Compensation / Benefits * Deliver features with increasing independence from requirements to deployment * Write clean, testable code and comprehensive tests * Participate in code reviews and provide/receive feedback * Debug, fix issues in own code and unfamiliar areas * Mentor and onboard junior engineers and review their code * Collaborate with product managers and designers to clarify requirements * Contribute to RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud deployments * Participate in Agile ceremonies and CI/CD processes * Document work for maintainability and knowledge sharing * Stay curious and proactively improve code quality and performance Tasks * Bachelor in Computer Science or related field plus 3 years of professional software development experience * 3+ years hands-on software development, testing, and deployment * Proficiency in at least one modern language (Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#) and ability to write clean, testable code * Experience with Git, code reviews, and Agile/Scrum teams * Experience with RESTful APIs and web applications * Strong collaboration and communication skills in a cross-functional team * Ability to work in the office at least 3 days per week (TS/SCI preferred clearance) * Willingness to obtain TS/SCI security clearance Key requirements * healthcare * wellness programs * financial benefits * retirement plans * family support * continuing education
