Software Engineer

Experteer Overview As a Software Engineer at CACI, you will contribute to mission-critical space system software, delivering features with increasing autonomy. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to implement robust, end-to-end solutions and continuously improve through testing and reviews. You’ll grow your skills alongside senior engineers while tackling complex problems that directly support space missions. This role offers hands-on impact, collaboration, and opportunities to deepen expertise in modern technologies and cloud platforms. Compensation / Benefits * Deliver full-stack features from implementation to deployment with minimal guidance * Break down medium-sized tasks into actionable steps * Lead features through code review, testing, and deployment with mentor support * Write clean, maintainable code and comprehensive tests * Mentor and onboard junior engineers; review their code and share knowledge * Work with RESTful APIs and microservices under senior guidance * Deploy and troubleshoot applications on cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) * Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives * Document work for maintainability and future onboarding * Collaborate with product managers and designers to clarify requirements * Contribute to continuous improvement of code quality and performance * Stay proactive in learning new technologies and patterns * Support junior team members via pair programming and knowledge sharing * Contribute to modern development practices and CI/CD pipelines * Communicate progress and blockers effectively to the team Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field plus 3+ years of professional software development experience * 3+ years of hands-on experience developing, testing, and deploying software * Proficiency in at least one modern language (Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#) with ability to write clean, testable code * Experience with Git, code reviews, and Agile/Scrum teams * Experience building or working with RESTful APIs and web applications * Ability to work in the office at least 3 days per week (up to 5 days with clearance) * Willingness to obtain TS/SCI security clearance * Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams Key requirements * flexible time off * learning resources * healthcare * retirement options * continuing education * time off benefits
