Job description

A Water treatment Chemical Technician will be responsible for working at customers’ data centers in the Columbus, Ohio area, along with some other sites in Ohio. The Chemical Technician will solve customer water treatment concerns, perform extensive water treatment lab work, and troubleshoot water treatment and control equipment at our customers’ massive data centers.

As a Chemical Service Technician, you will receive an industry competitive salary of $80,000 to $85,000, expenses, and benefits. In addition, ample technical support is provided along with continuous training. Compensation is based upon experience and the ability to succeed.

Job Responsibilities

Solve customers’ water problems.

Treat industrial cooling towers to keep them energy efficient and environmentally friendly.

Perform detailed water testing and analyses at data centers and other customers.

Help deliver on customer KPIs and promote Garratt-Callahan solutions including proprietary chemical blends, equipment, and monitoring technology.

Keep our existing customers happy and safe.

Requirements

Experience with plumbing, HVAC, water treatment chemistry, equipment maintenance, and pumps.

Experience or interest in learning advanced water treatment technologies.

Detail-oriented, adhere to safety protocols, and able to lift 50 pounds wearing PPE in all weather conditions.

One year of technical sales or an related to water treatment chemicals .

Willing to be trained and mentored.

Outside industrial sales experience is a plus.

Must live in or near Columbus and be familiar with the industrial marketplace of Ohio.

Additional Qualifications

Familiarity with Industrial Cooling Towers.

Knowledge and proficiency with lab procedures, water equipment, and water chemistry.

Ability to provide virtual presentations to a group.

Experience working in a team setting as a collaborative partner.
