Hardware Design Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will design and document analog and microprocessor-based circuits, supporting prototypes and firmware development. You’ll ensure designs meet regulatory and safety standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate product concepts into cost-effective prototypes. The position emphasizes robust documentation, testing support, and feasibility feedback on new product definitions. Compensation / Benefits * Assist in schematic design and documentation of electronic circuits * Support prototype development and basic validation testing * Assist with firmware development and learn regulatory standards (FDA, EU, EMI/ESD) * Document designs per Engineering policies * Support testing and troubleshooting of electrical designs * Collaborate to obtain product definitions for new products and provide feasibility feedback * Convert concepts into timely prototypes * Document and maintain circuit designs for easy understanding by engineers * Write embedded firmware to meet product definitions * Perform engineering validation of circuit board designs and aid testers Tasks * Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent * 5+ years of analog design experience (including audio and power circuits) * Significant experience designing microprocessor-based products * Proficiency in PCB design with Altium or similar package * Understanding of Firmware C/C++ for microprocessors * Experience with EMI/ESD standards and regulatory/safety requirements Key requirements * ESOP * Paid Time Off * Bereavement Leave * Disability insurance
