Hardware Design Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will design, validate, and iteratively improve advanced electronic control systems for commercial vehicles and mobile equipment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop reliable hardware solutions that enhance performance and user experience. You’ll apply embedded hardware design, circuit analysis, and PCB development in a fast-paced product environment. This position offers the chance to influence product sustainment, hardware qualification, and field issue resolution while staying current with embedded electronics and power management trends. You will contribute to shaping scalable, safety-focused vehicle control systems. Compensation / Benefits * Design and document electrical schematics for embedded controllers, displays, and electronic systems using microcontrollers and I/O * Model and simulate circuits to assess performance, reliability, and optimization * Support PCB layout and ensure compliance with industry standards * Perform design verification, validation, and qualification testing for reliability and safety * Collaborate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to integrate hardware into system solutions * Create technical documentation including specifications, test reports, and manufacturing support materials * Investigate field issues via root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions * Support component lifecycle management and obsolescence-related redesigns Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline * Experience designing electronic circuits and embedded hardware systems * Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools such as Altium, OrCAD, or similar * Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design principles * Experience with circuit simulation tools such as SPICE Key requirements * Medical, dental & vision * 401(k) Retirement Plan - Pre-tax and Roth * Life Insurance * Short and long-term disability * Health Spending Account (HSA) * Paid time off
