Job description

Perform daily database administration and operational support.
Design, implement, maintain, and optimize database structures.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune database performance.
Design and optimize database schemas to meet application requirements.
Perform SQL code reviews and implement best practices.
Support application enhancements, upgrades, and modernization initiatives.
Develop and maintain database administration standards, procedures, and documentation.
Troubleshoot and resolve enterprise production database issues.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
Collaborate with developers, project managers, business analysts, and data analysts to deliver scalable database solutions.
Ensure compliance with departmental and security standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
8+ years of database administration experience.
Expert knowledge of SQL Server 2012 and above.
Strong Oracle 10g and above administration experience.
Experience with database design, schema development, and optimization.
Strong database performance monitoring and tuning experience.
Experience conducting SQL code reviews.
Experience creating and maintaining database administration documentation and procedures.
Strong knowledge of relational database design principles.
Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex production database issues.

Preferred Qualifications

Azure SQL experience.
AWS database services/tools.
ArcGIS Server administration.
GIS and spatial database experience.
ESRI SDE Geodatabase experience., * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong customer service orientation.
Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills.
