Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Developer with strong AWS and Python expertise to drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable cloud-based applications. Based in Atlanta, GA, this role will combine deep technical hands-on work with leadership responsibilities, guiding a team of developers while partnering with business stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions., Technical Leadership

  • Lead architecture, design, and development of applications using Python and AWS services

  • Establish and enforce coding standards, development best practices, and design patterns

  • Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality, maintainable code

  • Drive technical decisions and provide strategic direction for engineering initiatives

AWS Cloud Development

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions on AWS

  • Work with AWS services such as:

o Lambda, ECS, EKS

o API Gateway

o S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Aurora

o CloudFormation / Terraform (IaC)

  • Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost

Software Development

  • Develop robust backend systems using Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django)

  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices architectures

  • Lead the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)

DevOps & Automation

  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline)

  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)

  • Collaborate closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams

Requirements

  • AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer Associate, or Professional)

  • Experience in industries common in Atlanta (FinTech, Healthcare, Logistics)

  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures (SNS, SQS, Kafka)

  • Knowledge of security and compliance best practices

  • Agile/Scrum experience

Must Have Skills:
