The Junior Cyber Mission Assurance & JRAM Analyst supports the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) J6 Cyber Mission Assurance operations by assisting with mission decomposition, cyber terrain analysis, Cyber Task Order (CTO) compliance tracking, and Joint Risk Assessment Management (JRAM) reporting. Working under the guidance of senior analysts, this role helps identify Mission Relevant Terrain-Cyber (MRT-C) assets, maintains mission assurance records within the Mission Assurance Decision Support System (MADSS), and supports compliance tracking for DODIN Cyber Defense Command (DCDC) directives. This is an excellent entry-to-mid-level career opportunity for a cleared cybersecurity professional looking to grow in DoD mission assurance and risk management disciplines within the Federal Cybersecurity field., * Assist in mission decomposition activities to map critical mission functions, networks, and supporting IT infrastructure.
- Support the identification, cataloging, and maintenance of Mission Relevant Terrain-Cyber (MRT-C) data within the MADSS database.
- Monitor and track incoming Cyber Task Orders (CTOs), IA Directives, and taskings issued by DoD, DCDC, and higher headquarters.
- Assist with compilation of risk data and draft Joint Risk Assessment Management (JRAM) entries for submission into DCDC reporting portals.
- Maintain accurate tracking logs, compliance milestones, and remediation progress records associated with active directives.
- Support the evaluation of systems dependencies across enterprise IT, networks, and cloud environments.
- Coordinate with system stakeholders, ISSOs, and CSSP personnel to collect risk mitigation evidence and validate closure actions.
- Help prepare basic risk assessments, compliance metrics, progress dashboards, and slides for leadership briefings.
- Organize and maintain audit trails, evidence repositories, and historical compliance records to support command readiness reviews.
- Support team preparations for external inspections, cyber readiness reviews, and audits (such as CORA or ESM audits).
Requirements
- Bachelorās degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent combination of education, military training, and experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in DoD cybersecurity, risk management (RMF), IT compliance, or system administration.
- Foundational understanding of RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and basic DoD cybersecurity policies.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tracking portals, vulnerability management concepts, or tasking processes.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to coordinate with multiple technical stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications & Certifications
- Familiarity with MADSS, eMASS, or DCDC compliance portals.
- Desired Certifications: CAP/CGRC, CASP+, or GICSP.
- Basic experience with SharePoint lists, Jira, or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, MicroStrategy).

Work Authorization and Security Clearance:
- United States Citizenship is required.
- Must possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility., While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, feel, touch; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 10 pounds. The employee is frequently required to lift up to 25 pounds; and up to 50 pounds. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE
- Active United States Citizenship is required.
- Must possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.

The salary range displayed is an estimate only and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, and will be determined on several factors regarding the individualās particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
