Mid Forescout Cyber Security Engineer - TS/SCI

Experteer Overview In this role you will design and support enterprise IT networks and security for a government-facing environment, focusing on Windows and Linux systems administration, network topology, and risk-driven upgrades. You will work within a security-conscious team to uphold DoD-related standards and oversee deployments like Forescout in customer environments. The position emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, architecture design, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to protect critical infrastructure. This is an impactful role for shaping secure, multi-domain networks in a regulated setting. Compensation / Benefits * Design and optimize IP network topologies across data centers, WAN, and LAN * Troubleshoot system and network issues across Windows and Linux environments * Plan and implement security upgrades and hardening for IT systems * Support deployment and maintenance of Forescout CounterACT appliances * Integrate cybersecurity data with enterprise tools such as Splunk * Ensure compliance with federal information security policies and frameworks * Collaborate with customers and internal teams to deploy cybersecurity solutions * Provide guidance on DoD 8570-related requirements and certifications Tasks * 5+ years in systems administration for Windows or Linux * Experience architecting and designing IP networks * Knowledge of multi-domain architectures, data centers, WAN, LAN in virtualized environments * DoD 8570 IAT Level III Certification (e.g., SecurityX, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, CCSP) * DoD 8570 Cybersecurity Service Provider - Infrastructure Support Certification (CSSP-IS) including CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND * Associate’s degree and 10+ years supporting IT projects, or Bachelor’s with 8+ years, or Master’s with 6+ years Key requirements *
