Job description

Step into a senior-level role where you will shape how accessibility is built into digital experiences at scale. As a Senior Technical Accessibility Specialist, you will partner across product, design, engineering, and business teams to ensure inclusive and accessible experiences for all users while advancing innovation, usability, and student success., * Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for accessibility across platforms and products

  • Lead audits and accessibility testing to ensure compliance with WCAG standards
  • Develop and execute remediation plans to address accessibility gaps
  • Partner with designers, engineers, and product managers to embed accessibility into product development
  • Create and maintain accessibility guidelines, processes, and documentation
  • Mentor team members and provide training on accessibility best practices and ADA awareness
  • Manage multiple complex accessibility initiatives and drive continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of WCAG, Section 508, and ADA standards
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex accessibility concepts
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and accessibility best practices
  • Familiarity with assistive technologies and testing tools such as screen readers and audit tools
  • Understanding of mobile accessibility across iOS and Android
  • Ability to analyze data and identify opportunities for process and performance improvement
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently and collaboratively
  • 6 years of experience in Technical Accessibility
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Assistive Technology, User Experience, Information Technology, Information Design, or related field., * IAAP CPACC certification
  • Experience with ARIA, semantic HTML, and JavaScript accessibility techniques
  • Background in UX, UI, interaction design, or accessibility research
