Job description

  • Spearhead the full lifecycle management of our multi-cloud Kubernetes environment (AWS EKS), ensuring container orchestration remains resilient under massive data processing workloads
  • Architect and manage global infrastructure (RDS, S3, Route53, ALB/ELB) as code using Terraform, driving the organization toward a fully immutable infrastructure model
  • Design and optimize automated CI/CD workflows via GitHub Actions, Helm, and ArgoCD to establish and maintain a high-velocity GitOps culture
  • Partner with Data Engineering to harden and scale platforms supporting Airflow and Databricks, ensuring peak performance across intelligence pipelines
  • Lead code reviews, define “golden paths” for deployment, and mentor mid-level engineers on cloud- patterns and best practices
  • Implement and own zero-trust security architecture, including complex permission management and secrets governance using HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secrets Manager
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive observability strategy - monitoring, alerting, and visibility into service health - using Datadog, Prometheus, or equivalent tooling

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or site reliability engineering, with a proven record of technical ownership on complex, large-scale projects
  • Deep expertise in AWS (RDS, S3, Route53, Networking, ACM) with hands-on experience managing GCP environments
  • Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes internals, Helm charting, and ArgoCD for continuous delivery
  • Advanced Terraform proficiency and experience building sophisticated pipelines in GitHub Actions
  • Strong software engineering skills in Python or Java, with comfort contributing to application codebases and building internal tooling
  • Experience securing edge traffic with Cloudflare and managing artifacts via Cloudsmith
  • Solid networking knowledge spanning Traefik, Route 53, Cloudflare, web application firewalls, and network log analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to build repeatable, scalable workflows and processes that eliminate one-off manual interventions across the platform
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical debt and platform needs into clear, actionable proposals for both engineering peers and leadership

Benefits & conditions

To keep that momentum going, we do our very best to make sure that each and every team member is completely taken care of. We’re nothing without our people and we strive to offer a package that reflects that. As a Kharon team member, you can expect:

  • Fully sponsored medical, dental, and vision insurances
  • FSA program for both medical and dependent care
  • Long term
  • 401k + Roth with matching and immediate vesting
  • Flexible paid time off + 11 paid holidays

The base salary range at Kharon is set between $160,000-$200,000. Please note that this figure does not necessarily include potential bonuses, commissions, benefits, or equity that may be part of the overall compensation package.
