Job description
The Product Specialist is the expert for a technical development or execution environment product or set of products.
Responsible for design, documentation and development of enterprise database reporting systems used for managing a large statewide school construction and renovation program. Development and modification of existing system reports is a requirement to fulfill the duties of this position.
Essential duties include:

Under direction of programming manager and other staff programmers, build and modify web based applications and reports.

Perform technical analysis and design, documentation, coding, testing and release preparation in accordance with NJSDA development policies.

Perform analysis of existing systems and suggest/develop improvements for those systems.
-
Document new and existing systems.
-
Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements

- SKILLS: SQL Server 2008/2012 including relational databases, tables, stored procedures and triggers
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 5 Years
- SKILLS: SSRS 2008 R2
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 5 Years
- SKILLS: SQL development skills w/Stored Procedures. (Candidate will modify existing SQL & developing new SQL for reporting purposes)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 5 Years
- SKILLS: HTML & ASP programming
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 5 Years
- SKILLS: Strong communication skills - ability to work both independently and within team environment
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Required
- SKILLS: Experience with reporting software such as SSRS, Crystal Reports, etc.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 5 Years
- SKILLS: Experience re-developing Legacy Reports
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 5 Years, Years of Relevant Experience: 5 plus years
Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study
Role Description: All roles specified in PS2 plus the following:
- Demonstrate expertise in teaching/conveying technical and/or functional courses/concepts.
- Develop appropriate work programs/budgets and use to effectively schedule tasks/assignments.
- Identify improvements to project standards to achieve high quality services/products.
