Job description

Test Automation of Quotes to Go Project. Created Test Automation Framework using JAVA 7 and API’s like selenium Web driver, TestNg, Junit4, Log4J, Maven, GIT and SVN on tools like Eclipse IDE based on Object Oriented Design principles / best practices which has capability to run scripts in serial and parallel mode. Wrote over 508 new tests. Test Automation Framework uses Enhanced Page object Factory Model and used JAVA REFLECTION API to dynamically invoke the tests at runtime, reducing the number of requisite classes. Also extensively used JAVA annotations in WEBDRIVER for robust and less verbose classes. Framework has 3 separate layers, a wrapper layer encapsulating the Web driver functionality, a page object factory layer encapsulating the page objects, and the tests layer which uses a Data driven framework based on TestNG’s Data Providers and such advanced features. Created Automation Stories in JIRA for sprint by sprint execution. Automated the Regression suite containing multiple Opportunities and Quotes. Rewrote existing Test Automation for Quotes to Go Project using the new framework. The runtime was reduced to 12.5 minutes from 2 hours and the tests run in parallel. Data Driven Framework was used where the test data is loaded for CSV and dynamic invocation of the code is done using JAVA REFLECTION API. Maintenance of existing Test Automation for Quotes to Go Project. Rewrote the core classes to utilize advanced Web driver capabilities and improved stability and consistency of the code. Improved existing Test Automation code in JAVA to run consistently in the Jenkins Build on a daily basis.
