Job description

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join a Managed Services team supporting diverse client environments. This role serves as a senior technical escalation resource responsible for troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, leading projects, and providing guidance to junior engineers., * Act as the highest level of technical escalation for network, server, cloud, and security-related issues.

  • Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, and VPNs.
  • Support and administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, and virtualization platforms.
  • Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and technology improvement initiatives.
  • Manage backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve issues and deliver projects.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in network, systems, or infrastructure engineering.
  • Experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and network troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Azure.
  • Working knowledge of VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization technologies.
  • Understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and security frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Industry certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, Fortinet, or similar are a plus.
