(1 Beginner - 10 Expert), As a Software Developer on the Member Data Services Modernization team, you will join a high-performing engineering team responsible for building and modernizing services that support critical member/customer data platforms. This role is focused on designing and developing scalable, secure APIs and event-driven applications that enable modern digital experience and enterprise integration. You’ll work in a highly collaborative Agile environment where the teams operate in sprints, partner closely with product and business stakeholders, and continuously deliver innovative solutions. This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, embraces new technologies, and thrives in a fast-paced environment., * Investigate and resolve complex application and system technical problems and production issues through troubleshooting techniques.

  • Continually improve operations by conducting complex systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and install complex solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
  • Follow the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in design reviews and learns key system design principles.
  • Mentor junior engineers and may begin mentoring peer engineers; Review teammates’ code.
  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

  • Detail-oriented 3, * Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience; and
  • 4+ years of professional software development experience using Java
  • 3+ years of experience developing REST-based services with a strong emphasis on API development.
  • Experience building APIs using Spring Boot.
  • Experience developing applications using event-driven frameworks and messaging frameworks such as Kafka.
  • Experience implementing container-based APIs using OpenShift, Docker, or Kubernetes.
  • Experience working on Agile teams that deliver software in sprint-based development cycles.

  • Experience with cloud-native application development and modernization initiatives.
  • Experience mentoring junior developers.
  • Experience with JavaScript and modern front-end development concepts.
