Job description

Software Engineer Production Support, Reporting and AI Workflows Remote Up to $140K + Quarterly Bonus, * Own production support questions and engineering escalations for the JAX platform
  • Serve as the engineering lead during critical production incidents and urgent platform issues
  • Investigate root causes instead of applying temporary fixes
  • Identify recurring issues, system patterns, and opportunities for permanent platform improvements
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize quarterly metrics and reporting within JAX
  • Respond to business reporting requests and translate business questions into accurate technical solutions
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting, analysis, and data extraction
  • Use Amazon Athena and related data tools to retrieve and analyze business information
  • Validate data and ensure the completeness and accuracy of reports
  • Support the heavier reporting workload associated with the close of each quarter
  • Identify recurring reporting activities that can be automated
  • Build solutions that improve reporting consistency, speed, and scalability
  • Assist with development projects that enhance AI workflows within JAX
  • Help connect JAX capabilities with external business development efforts across the company’s technology stack
  • Use Codex, Claude, and similar development tools to increase productivity without sacrificing code quality
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver practical solutions
  • Document production issues, findings, reporting logic, and implemented solutions
  • Contribute to platform improvement projects and gradually take on architecture related responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Hands on software development experience using Go
  • Experience developing or supporting APIs using GraphQL
  • Strong SQL skills, including complex data extraction, validation, troubleshooting, and reporting
  • Experience with Amazon Athena or comparable cloud based data querying tools
  • Experience supporting production applications and responding to critical technical incidents
  • Strong background in root cause analysis and resolving recurring platform issues
  • Experience translating business questions into reliable reports and data solutions
  • Proven ability to validate reporting accuracy and communicate findings to business stakeholders
  • Experience using Codex, Claude, or comparable AI development tools to expand individual engineering capacity
  • Ability to balance urgent production support needs with planned development and reporting work
  • Availability to support increased reporting demands around the close of each quarter
  • Willingness to complete a coding assessment before interviews
  • Interest in solving complex technical puzzles and contributing to future architecture initiatives

Benefits & conditions

Salary: $125,000 - $140,000 per year, * Competitive Compensation: Up to $140,000 base salary, depending on experience
