Job description
Location: Washington, DC Metro Area (Hybrid - Must be available for in-person customer meetings as needed), We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead the strategy, roadmap, and Agile delivery of an innovative AI-powered cybersecurity platform. This role combines product ownership with customer-facing technical expertise, requiring someone who can confidently manage product priorities while delivering compelling product demonstrations, supporting proof-of-concept engagements, and collaborating closely with engineering, sales, and customers.
The ideal candidate has experience managing cybersecurity software products, understands modern security operations and compliance frameworks, and can effectively communicate technical capabilities to both executive and technical audiences., * Own and prioritize the product backlog, translating business, customer, and compliance requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Develop and maintain the product roadmap in partnership with engineering and business stakeholders.
- Balance feature development, AI capabilities, platform enhancements, security improvements, and technical debt.
- Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, release planning, and Agile ceremonies.
- Define product success metrics and monitor KPIs such as adoption, release quality, customer satisfaction, and delivery velocity.
- Support QA, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and release readiness activities.
- Clearly communicate product capabilities, roadmap items, and release priorities.
Customer Engagement
- Deliver product demonstrations to prospective and existing customers.
- Support technical discovery sessions and proof-of-concept (POC) engagements.
- Partner with Sales and Business Development during customer presentations and technical evaluations.
- Serve as the primary liaison between customers, engineering, and product teams.
- Develop and maintain demonstration environments that accurately showcase current product capabilities.
- Present at customer meetings, workshops, and industry events as needed.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Translate cybersecurity and regulatory requirements into product features.
- Maintain knowledge of industry security frameworks and regulatory standards.
- Support customer compliance initiatives and security-related product requirements.
- Assist with technical responses for RFPs, RFIs, and customer questionnaires., * Security Operations

Requirements
- 4+ years of Product Owner or Product Manager experience supporting cybersecurity or security-focused SaaS products.
- Experience delivering technical product demonstrations to customers.
- Experience supporting proof-of-concept (POC) engagements.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including SIEM, SOAR, vulnerability management, threat intelligence, and security operations.
- Working knowledge of federal and industry cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST 800-53, FISMA, RMF, and ATO.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with AI, machine learning, and Large Language Models (LLMs) within enterprise software.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or equivalent experience., * Experience supporting Federal Government or highly regulated commercial environments.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, or CEH.
- Experience with security tools including Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Elastic, Trivy, Nuclei, OWASP ZAP, Wazuh, or similar technologies.
- Experience supporting federal proposals, RFP responses, or capture activities.
- Active Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain one.

Benefits & conditions
$120,000 - $130,000 per year This role is eligible for an annual performance bonus. This is the targeted compensation range for this role. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline and the final offer will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skillset and competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location., We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k); paid time off including vacation, holidays, personal leave, and sick leave; and training and professional development opportunities.
