Principal / Sr. Principal Simulation Software Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you design, develop, integrate and test embedded mission systems software for flight simulation. You collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver real-time, simulation-driven solutions that support current and future programs. You will own architecture, implementation and qualification across the SDLC in an Agile environment. This role offers impactful work shaping defense-grade simulation capabilities. You will work with cross-functional teams to deploy robust software that customers rely on. Compensation / Benefits * Design, architecture, and development of embedded mission systems software for real-time operating systems * End-to-end SDLC participation including requirements, design, implementation, qualification, and delivery * Flight simulation software development and integration for end-user customers * Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Cloud & Application, Test Automation, DevSecOps and Systems Test in Agile teams * Analyze system capabilities to resolve problems related to program intent, data and controls * Contribute to multiple software baselines within Agile Scrum teams Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5 years of related engineering experience, or Master’s with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year (Principal level) * Experience with SDLC from design to deployment * Proficiency in C, C++, and Python * Experience with two or more tools (Jira, Crucible, Bitbucket, Subversion, Bamboo, Jenkins, Gitlab, Sonarqube, Fortify, or Coverity) * Active U.S. Government Secret or higher clearance and ability to obtain SAP clearance Key requirements * health insurance * life and disability insurance * savings plan * Company paid holidays * PTO * relocation assistance
