Job description
Insight Global is actively hiring a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise virtual desktop environments. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting large-scale VDI solutions using technologies such as VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Microsoft Windows environments.
The VDI Engineer will work closely with systems administrators, network engineers, cybersecurity teams, cloud engineers, and end users to ensure a secure, scalable, and high-performing virtual desktop experience. This position plays a critical role in supporting remote workforces, application delivery, and enterprise computing initiatives.
Requirements
Active Secret Clearance
- Bachelors Degree and 10+ years experience in Systems Engineering specifically working with VMware, VDI, and similar type solutions.
- Senior level experience supporting VMware and Windows/Linux Server environments
- Strong scripting background with PowerShell, Bash, or Python
- Active Security+ Certification
Pluses:
- Strong background in Nutanix or Certifications in Nutanix
- Previous Air Force or Pentagon experience
