TSSCI VDI Administrator

Insight Global is seeking a VDI Administrator to sit at Fort Meade, MD. This individual will be responsible for administering and maintaining virtual desktop infrastructure environments utilizing VMware Horizon and VMware technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting Windows and/or Linux server environments, Active Directory, virtual machines, and enterprise virtualization platforms. This role involves troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, supporting major outage escalations, performing server patching and upgrades, and ensuring compliance with security requirements. The candidate will also lead new environment onboarding efforts, develop technical documentation and operational procedures, and collaborate closely with networking, cybersecurity, and Tier III engineering teams. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong VMware expertise, a DoD certification, and an active security clearance who thrives in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment while helping drive modernization and operational excellence.

Active TSSCI Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification 8+ years of experience in Windows/Linux server environments Extensive VMware virtualization experience VMware Horizon, Citrix, or other VDI platform administration VMware vSphere and vCenter administration Windows Server administration Active Directory administration Virtual machine provisioning and management Experience troubleshooting VDI, desktop, server, and infrastructure issues Experience supporting secure enterprise environments Ability to support major outage escalations and mission-critical systems Documentation, SOP creation, and policy development experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Linux and/or Solaris server expertise PowerShell scripting DISA STIG implementation VMware ESXi SCCM / MECM Azure Virtual Desktop

$55/hr to $62/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
