Job description

We are seeking an AWS/Java/ETL Developer specializing in data modernization using cloud solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of software development experience with strong skills in Java, AWS services, ETL processes, database technologies, and cloud-based application development. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining cloud-native applications and data solutions while collaborating with technical teams and business stakeholders., * Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose modernization strategies

  • Design, develop, and test Java-based cloud-native applications and backend systems
  • Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines
  • Analyze data models and business requirements
  • Perform data validation to ensure accuracy and integrity
  • Validate backend logic and data processing
  • Collaborate with developers and business analysts to understand data requirements and ensure test coverage
  • Utilize AWS services within application architecture
  • Develop, test, debug, and deliver solutions using best practices
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure security best practices
  • Maintain clean and efficient code
  • Monitor application performance and optimize for cost, security, and reliability
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues and challenges
  • Ensure adherence to standards and best practices
  • Work with product managers, business stakeholders, and team members to refine requirements and deliver solutions

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software development experience
  • Experience modernizing legacy applications, including refactoring and migrating applications to cloud environments
  • Experience utilizing AWS services and related components for building enterprise-level Data Lakes
  • Strong experience with Java, J2EE, Java Spring Framework, and Hibernate
  • Experience working with transactional or relational database management systems (RDBMS)
  • Experience with DevOps practices and automation tools
  • Strong SQL skills including complex queries, database relationships, debugging, and performance tuning
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based ETL tools
  • Understanding of data modeling
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum Framework environments

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI or AWS QuickSight
  • Experience with additional ETL tools
