Job description

Experteer Overview As Lead Business Architect, you define the target state for the finance transformation program, shaping the future finance function and its data flows. You translate strategy into a coherent blueprint, guiding cross-functional teams across Finance, Operations, and Technology. You drive process designs, data integrity, and controls to enable a successful migration to Oracle SaaS. You lead a small team of architects and influence senior stakeholders to align with regulatory and business objectives. This role offers the chance to impact core financial processes at scale in a global bank. Compensation / Benefits * Define and model the target state business architecture for key finance domains (Accounting Engines, General Ledger, Financial Close, Data Substantiation, Reconciliation). * Map current state processes, identify gaps, and propose simplifications, standardization, and automation opportunities. * Create detailed business process models, functional designs, and data flow diagrams aligned with strategy and regulatory requirements. * Champion business-driven data and controls frameworks focusing on reconciliation and substantiation. * Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Finance, Front Office, and Operations to gather requirements and secure consensus. * Bridge to Technology by translating business architecture into functional requirements for fit-for-purpose solutions. * Lead and mentor a team of Senior Business Architects to foster process excellence and finance-domain expertise. Tasks * Extensive experience as a Business Architect, Process Architect, or similar strategic role in financial services. * Deep functional knowledge of core finance and accounting processes (GL, sub-ledger, close and consolidation, data substantiation, multi-system reconciliation). * Proven ability to model capabilities and design end-to-end processes at scale in a global organization. * Strong understanding of financial data flows, data governance, and regulatory reporting requirements. * Experience in large-scale transformation programs, preferably SaaS ERP/accounting migrations (Oracle, SAP). * Excellent communication and stakeholder management, with ability to influence senior leaders. * Strategic thinker who connects detailed process design to long-term business outcomes. * Qualifications: 10+ years in Solutions Architecture or equivalent, strong communication, and ability to manage multiple priorities; Bachelor’s degree, potentially Masters.
