Job description

  • Identify the scope of testing to create a complex quality plan for multiple features
  • Create commitments for test plans in multiple features to estimate the scope of work and agree on requirements with some guidance from others
  • Work with partners across teams by creating test plans for multiple features and contribute efforts to get test plans for a feature reviewed by others (e.g., requirement writers, design architects)
  • Leverage available data to work within multiple features or a broad/complex feature area and identify areas where additional exploration, development, or testing is required. Help build complex custom visualizations to ensure product testing coverage
  • Contribute to efforts to apply best practices in automation to create and implement automated testing procedures using scripting languages (e.g., C#, Python). Create automated regression release testing when possible
  • Maintain and apply automation tools and encouraging team members to apply automation throughout the testing process (e.g., during development). Write code or leverage tools and technology to eliminate repetitive tasks to reduce manual work for multiple features

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter, * Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience
  • Experience with:
  • Networking and/or storage testing
  • Scripting in Python annd/or C#, testing, and debugging
  • Windows troubleshooting

You will be involved in all phases of the storage lifecycle: design, implementation, test, deployment, and support. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,800 - $219,200 per year.
