Job description
Robert Half is actively partnering with an Austin-based client to identify a Workday Developer (contract). In this role, you will support and enhance enterprise Financial and Human Capital Management (HCM) systems. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Workday solutions and integrations that support key business operations. This role is hybrid in Austin, Tx., * Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Workday Financials and HCM solutions.
- Configure and maintain core finance, payroll, workforce management, and human resources modules.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Develop and support Workday integrations using Studio, EIB, connectors, APIs, and related technologies.
- Create and maintain operational, financial, and workforce reporting solutions.
- Design and support workflow orchestration and automation processes.
- Partner with enterprise application, integration, and business teams to support cross-platform solutions.
- Ensure solutions align with architecture standards, security requirements, and governance practices.
- Maintain technical documentation and support change management processes.
- Implement integration standards, data governance controls, and secure data handling practices.
- Support audit, compliance, and internal control requirements.
- Identify system enhancements, modernization opportunities, and performance improvements.
- Contribute to platform scalability and reliability as business operations evolve.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing and supporting Workday solutions.
- 5+ years of experience with Workday Studio, EIB, reporting, integrations, and related development tools.
- 4+ years of experience supporting Workday Financials and Workday HCM.
- Experience developing and supporting enterprise integrations and workflow automation.
- Strong understanding of finance, accounting, HR, payroll, and workforce management processes.
- Experience designing scalable, secure, and maintainable enterprise solutions.
- Knowledge of data governance, integration best practices, and enterprise architecture principles.
- Experience supporting compliance, audit, or highly controlled business environments is preferred.
- Experience with Workday Extend, application development, or advanced platform customization is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience., * Workday certifications in Integrations, Reporting, Financials, HCM, Payroll, or related areas.
- Experience with enterprise application ecosystems, including ERP, CRM, analytics, and integration platforms.
- Familiarity with regulatory, compliance, or governance frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
