Experteer Overview In this role you support the Council’s cyber security objectives by delivering and improving security services. You work within the IT Cyber Security team, contributing to design, implementation and ongoing support of the security environment. You lead cyber security services across analysis, monitoring, incidents and remediation, enabling resilient IT for the Council. You will engage with cross-functional teams to handle incidents, upgrades and threat intelligence, making a meaningful impact on the Council’s digital safety. This role offers hands-on security work within a public sector setting and opportunities to shape security strategy. Pay / Benefits * Delivery of cyber security projects and initiatives * Design, implement and support the security environment * Lead cyber security services including analysis, monitoring, incident response and remediation Tasks * Successful delivery of IT and cyber security projects * Experience in IT Service Delivery, installation and support of IT Cyber Security Systems * Strong knowledge of cyber security principles and technologies, including firewalls and IDS/IPS * Experience in investigating and resolving cyber security incidents including threat hunting * Knowledge of cloud security technologies and M365 security tools * Experience with EDR & XDR and email security * SSL certificates management experience * Strong written and oral communication skills * Ability to work to deadlines and liaise with customers * Willingness to work extended hours * A Level 1 Disclosure Scotland check required Key requirements *
