Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you will design and deliver commercial C++ software for a renewable energy-focused AI company. You’ll work in an Agile team, contributing to both legacy and greenfield projects and driving code quality and process improvements. You’ll collaborate across disciplines to resolve complex technical problems, adopt new technologies, and help shape scalable, standards-based software. This position offers a hybrid work setup and a chance to influence real-world energy solutions. Pay / Benefits * Deliver high-quality software in an Agile environment * Participate in resolving complex technical problems * Improve the software delivery process continuously * Ensure estimates and plans are technically accurate * Ensure designs and implementations meet standards and coding practices * Maintain and promote coding standards and shared code ownership * Identify new technologies to enhance software * Take ownership of code quality and drive continuous improvement Tasks * 5+ years of software development in a commercial environment * 2+ years in Agile methods and Scrum * Substantial C++ experience in a commercial setting * Experience with design patterns and refactoring techniques * Familiarity with TDD or BDD Key requirements * benefits package * hybrid working (office visit once a week) * salary up to £70,000 * collaborative culture * well-established business
