Your new role

This is a unique opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer who is looking to bridge the gap into architecture whilst remaining very hands-on. Working across both engineering and architecture teams, you’ll be responsible for delivering connectivity solutions, defining technical standards and advising on network design across traditional, cloud and Kubernetes-based environments.

This role is approximately 60% hands-on engineering and 40% architecture/design, making it ideal for someone who enjoys being on the tools whilst also influencing technical direction and engaging with senior stakeholders. You’ll play a key role in driving automation, supporting complex networking environments and mentoring engineers across the wider function.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Strong enterprise networking background with deep expertise in routing and switching
• Experience across Cisco and/or Arista network environments
• Hands-on experience with firewalls and load balancing technologies, including Palo Alto and F5
• Strong Kubernetes and/or OpenShift networking experience
• Exposure to network automation using tools such as Ansible, Terraform or Python
• Experience operating within complex, highly available enterprise environments
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, Arista ACE or Kubernetes certifications would be advantageous
