Software Engineer / Principal Software Engineer (AHT)

Experteer Overview In this role you contribute to state-of-the-art Mission Planning systems at NGDS. You will design, develop, test, and support software while ensuring quality standards and robust CI/CD pipelines. You work with cross-functional teams to deploy and validate software in development and production, and you help define test strategies and documentation. Compensation / Benefits * Design, develop, document, test and debug software and systems * Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable delivery * Set up/deploy development, test, and build environments; create Windows installers * Support software builds, installation, and product verification * Collaborate in a cross-functional Scrum to deliver mission planning features * Understand third-party peripherals to support interfaces and integration * Develop test artifacts tying requirements to tests and plans * Define and implement new test approaches and procedures * Perform smoke and acceptance testing on software builds * Interface with customers at technical levels; assist with contract deliverables * Support Agile processes as a Scrum Master when required Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 2+ years of related experience (or 0 years with a Master’s) * US Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance * Experience with Agile, CI/CD tools (Bamboo, Jenkins) * Proficiency in C# and/or Java and OO design * Experience with Microsoft Windows technologies * Experience developing/testing procedures and coordinating formal tests * Experience with scripting (yaml, Python, PowerShell, Batch, Typescript) * Experience with automated testing and tools like TestComplete 4 * Understanding of revision control systems (BitBucket, git, CVS) * Hands-on system troubleshooting skills * Willingness to work on-site in Manhattan Beach, CA * Preferred: Scrum Master certification and DoD/mission planning domain knowledge Key requirements * health insurance * life and disability insurance * savings plan * Company paid holidays * PTO for vacation/personal time * relocation assistance
