Job description

This Principal / Lead Data Scientist role places you at the centre of AI transformation, bridging traditional Machine Learning with modern AI systems. You will be responsible for establishing best practices around experimentation, model evaluation, monitoring, and governance to ensure AI solutions deliver consistent, accurate, and responsible outcomes., Define and implement best practices for AI and Machine Learning experimentation, ensuring structured, measurable, and reproducible approaches.

Develop and maintain evaluation frameworks, datasets, benchmarks, and metrics for ML and LLM-based systems.

Analyse model behaviour, monitor performance, identify risks, and drive continuous improvements.

Collaborate with technical teams and domain experts to translate complex requirements into structured AI solutions.

Develop and evaluate traditional Machine Learning models, including classification, scoring, and predictive modelling solutions.

Support AI teams by guiding testing methodologies, quality standards, and governance processes.

Establish monitoring and lifecycle management practices to ensure reliable AI performance over time.

Requirements

As part of a highly skilled AI and Data team, you will combine deep technical expertise with strong analytical thinking and stakeholder collaboration. You will influence how AI models are assessed, improved, and maintained throughout their lifecycle, while contributing hands-on to Machine Learning initiatives., 7+ years of experience in Data Science, Applied Machine Learning, or AI-focused roles.

Strong experience developing, evaluating, and improving supervised Machine Learning models.

Advanced knowledge of Python, SQL, and ML evaluation methodologies.

Experience with ML lifecycle tools such as MLflow or similar platforms.

Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), Vector Databases, RAG solutions, or AI orchestration frameworks is highly desirable.

Strong analytical and mathematical ability with excellent problem-solving skills.

Ability to establish standards, influence teams, and communicate complex concepts effectively.
