Job description
Experteer Overview In this role, you will own the administration, performance optimization, and long-term strategy for enterprise Oracle and SQL Server environments. You will partner with infrastructure, security, and IT teams to ensure reliability, availability, and data integrity across critical systems. You will lead backup, recovery, and disaster planning while enforcing security and licensing controls. You will collaborate on new technology initiatives, patching, and change management to align with business needs. This is a hands-on, high-impact role with opportunities to shape database strategy in a hybrid, growth-focused environment. Compensation / Benefits * Administer, maintain, and upgrade Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases * Monitor performance and troubleshoot to ensure availability * Develop and test backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies * Manage database security, user access, and compliance * Collaborate with systems and security teams on new technology initiatives, vulnerability remediation, and patch management * Enforce database policies, procedures, change control, and licensing compliance * Support development and QA environments with refreshes and testing * Provide technical guidance and serve as SME for database initiatives * Develop and implement database strategies with IT leadership Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience * Oracle Certified Administrator certification required * Oracle Certified Professional certification preferred * 7 years of Oracle database administration experience * 3 years of Microsoft SQL Server administration experience * Strong experience with RMAN and MSSQL backup solutions * Working knowledge of Linux, KVM, and virtualization technologies * Familiarity with Oracle and Microsoft licensing requirements * Excellent troubleshooting, project management, communication, and documentation skills Key requirements *
