Senior .Net Software Engineer

Experteer Overview Senior backend-focused role within a Tempe engineering team, driving modernization of core platform applications and legacy systems. You will design and build scalable .NET services and APIs, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and mentor junior engineers to raise engineering standards. The role emphasizes reliable, data-centric systems and integration across multiple data sources and third-party services. On-site presence four days a week enables close collaboration in a high-quality, capable engineering environment. Compensation / Benefits * Design, build, test, and deploy backend services and APIs using C# and .NET * modernize legacy applications by rewriting systems into modern .NET architecture * develop scalable API and integration patterns for data ingestion from multiple sources * work with SQL Server and related database technologies for data-centric apps * translate requirements into production-ready software and document designs * build resilient integrations with clear contracts, versioning, error handling, and observability * write unit/integration tests and contribute to CI/CD testing practices * participate in code reviews focusing on performance, maintainability, resiliency, and security * troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis to improve reliability * collaborate with product, architecture, QA, DevOps, and engineering teams in Agile delivery * mentor junior and mid-level engineers to raise team standards Tasks * 7+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production systems * Strong backend development experience with C#, .NET, and modern .NET frameworks * Experience modernizing legacy applications or incremental improvements to older systems * Strong SQL database experience (SQL Server or equivalent) * Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and integration layers * Experience with third-party API integrations and multi-source data ingestion * Experience writing unit and integration tests and working in CI/CD environments * Experience working in Agile/Scrum with cross-functional teams * Strong communication skills to explain technical decisions * Ability to operate as a senior IC and mentor others Key requirements * Base salary up to $150,000 * 10% bonus opportunity * 401(k) with employer match * Generous PTO * Medical, dental, and vision benefits * Discretionary bonuses (as noted)
