Job description

Harrison Clarke Ventures is currently partnered with multiple tier 1 VC-backed AI/ML startups across the HealthTech space within the US. We’re on the hunt for Senior to Staff Software Engineers who know how to build integrations with EHR systems 0-1!

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be embedded with a fast-growing healthtech company, owning the data platform from the ground up. That means architecting the systems that connect clinical data across a fragmented healthcare ecosystem, working closely with founders and clinical/product teams, and building the infrastructure that makes it possible to move data reliably, securely, and at scale.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of data engineering / platform engineering experience, with at least one 0-1 platform build under your belt
  • Proven track record building and maintaining integrations with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, athenahealth, or similar), including familiarity with HL7v2, FHIR, and/or CCD/CCDA standards
  • Deep proficiency in designing and scaling data pipelines that handle high volume, high stakes healthcare data
  • Experience navigating the practical realities of healthcare data messy source systems, inconsistent standards adoption, and the compliance layer (HIPAA) that sits over everything
  • A strong eye for data quality and system reliability you care about the integrity of what flows through the pipeline, not just that it flows
  • Comfort working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where priorities shift
  • Bonus: experience with claims data, interoperability APIs, or building data products used directly by clinicians or care teams

Benefits & conditions

  • Top 1% Base Salary
  • Equity in a company on an early growth trajectory
  • Full remote flexibility
  • The chance to build foundational infrastructure for a product genuinely improving patient outcomes

Who this is for

This is not a maintain-and-iterate role. If you’re energised by greenfield builds, want your fingerprints on the data architecture from day one, and are drawn to solving hard problems in healthcare, we want to hear from you.
