Job description

Experteer Overview In this role you lead the Field Technology architecture within PPL’s Enterprise Architecture program, shaping and governing technology standards across gas and electric operations. You will align business outcomes with IT execution, drive modernization, and improve reliability, security, and agility of field platforms. You’ll partner with IT and business leaders to define digital vision and a roadmap for field technology value streams. Your work accelerates transformation and ensures architecture coherence across Field Technology initiatives. Compensation / Benefits * Define and govern field technology architecture and reference models across platforms * Develop and maintain field operations architectures (apps, data, integrations, infrastructure) and roadmaps * Lead architecture governance, standards, and integration patterns across value streams * Evaluate and influence enterprise business drivers to derive architecture requirements (BITS) * Collaborate with Field Ops and IT teams to translate operational needs into scalable architectural solutions * Drive architectural runway evolution and ensure alignment with security and compliance requirements * Oversee key field capabilities including EAM/Work Management, GIS, OMS/ADMS, and mobile workforce tooling * Support architecture reviews and ensure cross value stream integration * Promote reusable patterns and platform adoption among field technology teams * Partner with cybersecurity to maintain secure, resilient designs and disaster recovery plans Tasks * Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred * 10+ years in scalable, compliant enterprise architecture * Experience with field operations, work management, asset management, GIS, mobility platforms * Proficiency with cloud and hybrid architectures; knowledge of utilities EA and field operations a plus * Experience with ArcGIS, EAM (Hexagon, Maximo, SAP, OpenGrid), OpenGrid, Esri ArcGIS, SAP integrations * Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills * Understanding of integration patterns, security, and governance in enterprise environments * Experience with OpenGrid/Hexagon EAM/field mobility and SAP integrations * Knowledge of AI, IoT, cloud-native architectures, microservices, DevOps and event-driven architectures * Proven ability to design field-to-enterprise workflows and manage cross-vendor ecosystems Key requirements *
