Senior Engineer - Systems Operability Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will drive the technical success of space missions by analyzing spacecraft and ground subsystem performance, and by developing clear commands and telemetry for operations. You will manage spacecraft configurations and flight software interfaces across development, integration, and test phases. You will design and maintain command/telemetry systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve anomalies. This on-site, mission-focused role requires strong planning, communication, and leadership within a distributed organization. Compensation / Benefits * Conduct in-depth systems engineering to analyze performance and interdependencies of spacecraft subsystems and ground systems * Develop and document clear commands and telemetry for spacecraft operations across development, integration, and test phases * Manage and maintain spacecraft configurations via Flight Software Tables throughout the mission lifecycle * Design, implement, and maintain command and telemetry systems and tools for Spacecraft Integration and Test and Ground Systems * Collaborate with teams to resolve anomalies and issues with strong troubleshooting * Perform additional duties to support team objectives * Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule * Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department and with Strategic Business Units and the Company Tasks * BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field with 4+ years of related experience * Active TS/SCI security clearance required * Excellent planning, organization, and communication skills for distributed teams * Solid interpersonal and leadership skills with senior engineers and multiple disciplines * Willingness to learn and develop technical skills on the job * Ability to stay calm and composed in high-pressure situations, including real-time anomaly resolution * Proven troubleshooting skills with the ability to translate user issues into actionable solutions * Degree substitutions allowed: Master’s or PhD may substitute for two years of experience Key requirements * health, dental, and vision insurance * 401(k) savings plan * disability and life insurance * paid time off and holidays * paid parental and military leave * employee recognition program
