Additionally, USG supports Freedom of Expression as stated in Board Policy 06.05 Freedom of Expression and Academic Freedom., This role is focused on providing exceptional desktop support, maintaining IT devices within a scientific laboratory environment, and performing systems administration tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, research-driven setting., Desktop Support - Provide comprehensive support for desktop systems, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software., Laboratory IT Devices - Support and maintain IT devices used in scientific laboratories including specialized laboratory equipment., Systems Administration - Perform systems administration tasks, ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of IT infrastructure., User Assistance - Assist staff and researchers with IT-related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to their work., Microsoft Intune Support - Manage and support IT devices using Microsoft Intune, including device enrollment, configuration, and compliance policies., Inventory Management - Maintain an accurate inventory of IT equipment and ensure all devices are properly documented and tracked., Documentation - Create and maintain detailed documentation of IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related experience, * Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems, network troubleshooting, systems administration, and familiarity with laboratory IT devices. Experience with Microsoft Intune is required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Team Player:Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
