Front End Software Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you design and modernize scalable Angular front ends, integrating with Java Spring Boot and NodeJS services. You’ll collaborate across the stack to deliver high-quality features on a tight timeline, shaping architecture and reusable components. Your work spans performance optimization, CI/CD readiness, and exploring AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery. This on-site position in Smithfield, RI offers a hands-on path to impact how users interact with mission-critical systems. Compensation / Benefits * Design modern Angular apps using standalone components, feature modules, and strict typing * Build reusable UI components with Angular Material, CDK, or design systems * Implement robust state management with RxJS, NgRx, or Component Store * Develop data services and API integration layers using HttpClient and RxJS * Apply advanced Angular performance techniques: OnPush, lazy loading, route code splitting * Collaborate with backend engineers to align API contracts with Java Spring Boot and NodeJS services * Modernize legacy frontend codebases and align with Angular best practices * Create CI/CD ready front-end pipelines with linting, testing, and build validation * Identify opportunities for AI-assisted development (code generation, tests, documentation) * Contribute to design discussions on component hierarchy, routing, and utilities Tasks * 6+ years of Angular (Angular 10+ preferred) * 3+ years of NodeJS for supporting services or integration tooling * 2+ years of Java (Spring Boot) for backend collaboration (nice to have) * Deep experience with RxJS (operators, subjects, multicasting, error handling) * Experience with NgRx or Component Store * Experience with Angular CLI, workspace configuration, and schematics * Knowledge of routing strategies, guards, resolvers, and lazy loading * Strong change detection optimization experience * Experience with test automation tools (Jest, Jasmine/Karma, Cypress, Playwright) is a plus * Experience with AWS (CloudFront, S3, Lambda, API Gateway) is a plus * Strong ownership mindset and ability to work across multiple concurrent capabilities Key requirements * Competitive compensation * Comprehensive insurance options * 401(k) matching and ESPP * Paid time off for vacation, holidays, and sick leave * Paid parental leave * Learning opportunities and tuition assistance
